How to become a Body Artist

No person shall practice body art procedures without first obtaining an operator/artist license from the Clayton County Board of Health. An applicant for a body art license shall be a minimum of eighteen (18) years of age and shall demonstrate to the Clayton County Board of Health his/her successful compliance with all training, disclosure, consent and educational requirements of the Body Art Rules and Regulations prior to the issuance or renewal of a body art license issued by the Clayton County Board of Health. A body art license cannot be obtained without an affiliate shop.

Application for the operator/artist license shall include:

Upon issuance of a license, a body artist shall only perform those form(s) of body art that is/are indicated in the body art license application submitted to the Clayton County Board of Health. The operator/artist license shall be valid from the date of issuance and shall automatically expire in twelve (12) months and must be renewed unless revoked sooner by the Clayton County Board of Health.
