Special Events and Temporary Food Services

A temporary food service operation means any food service establishment which operates at the same location for a temporary period of time, not to exceed 14 consecutive days in conjunction with a fair, carnival, circus, public exhibition, or similar transitory gathering. The temporary facility may only set up in the same location once every 3 months.

The organizer of the special event must complete a Temporary Food Service Event Organizer Application and return it to our office. Also a Temporary Vendor Application must be completed and returned to the Environmental Health office for each individual food service. The applications for the temporary facilities must be completed and returned to our office a minimum of 30 days before the event is scheduled to take place.

Temporary food services must comply with the regulations set out in Section .08 of the Clayton County Food Service Rules and Regulations.
